Skull and Bones Society

Greetings from Nashville!

I just got back from my trip to Savannah, Georgia–a trip that proved to be the perfect way to end my summer away from the ATL.

Savannah is this gorgeous getaway that is both coastal and Southern. Moss hangs from leviathan-sized trees, which makes walking through Savannah’s squares even more fantastic. From trying to locate all the sites mentioned in “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” to afternoon tea at the fabulous Gryphon tearoom, there was never a dull moment… IMG_0690

…especially after visiting the SCAD Museum of Art. Not only did I see my first Andy Warhol pieces in person, but I also saw the Stephen Burrows exhibit (whose designs have most notably been seen on someone named Michelle Obama):

Talk about innovative! Especially with that human model, eh? 😉

Haha. Besides the great fashion designs by Mr. Burrows, I couldn’t help but notice the skull trend that has been sported recently in Teen Vogue by the lovely Kendall Jenner:

It’s widely known that Marc Jacobs is an innovator like Stephen Burrows, so I was hardly surprised when I noticed that the neckerchief Kendall sported in Teen Vogue was the one I saw while window shopping at the Marc in Savannah.

From Boston terrier phone cases to cat-faced flats, I suppose it would only make sense that Marc Jacobs would have to innovate a new look for the old, Western-popular neckerchief.

If you aren’t cuckoo for a loud print like this, don’t worry! There are other ways to sport this trend:

1. Sheer Top

This blouse from CiChic was spotted on Savannah Chrisley from my should-feel-guilty-about-but-shamlessly-don’t obsession Chrisley Knows Best. Gotta show some love to my fellow Atlantians, right?

2. Ring

This lovely piece is from Moda Operandi.

3. Earrings

These cute earrings are by designer Marcia Maizel-Clarke courtesy of Neiman Marcus.

Fall is almost here, so add Savannah to your summer bucket list and make sure to add the skull trend to your back-to-school list to ensure that you arrive to campus with style!

Style On,
